Flood is a major problem in Bangladesh. It is a common natural disaster for the country. Bangladesh is affected by floods every year. The main causes of this flood are excessive rainfall, snowmelt, and lack of drainage. As a result of the flood, the whole country goes underwater. It causes great damage to people and animals. The houses of people, farms, and roads are underwater. Students can't go to educational institutions. Poor people starve without being able to collect food. Many times they have to leave their homes and move to safe places until the flood water recedes. During the flood, government and non-governmental organizations try to help the flood-affected people. They help the helpless and poor people with food, clean water, and medicine. They also try to repair damaged roads and houses. Many people from all over the world try to help the flood victims by providing money and different types of food items. As Bangladesh falls victim to flood every year, the people of Bangladesh should prepare to face the flood. Apart from this, better dams should be built and more trees should be planted in the floodplain areas of the country to deal with the flood. Finally, all have to work together to deal with the flood in Bangladesh.
