Traffic Jam Dialogue
Sharif: Good evening,
friend. How are you?
Asif: Good evening,
friend. I am fine.
Sharif: At present, it
is impossible to reach anywhere in Dhaka city on time.
Asif: Why?
Sharif: Because of the
traffic jam.
Asif: You are absolutely
right. Traffic jam is a common and permanent problem in major cities of
Bangladesh including Dhaka.
Sharif: It took me
almost two hours to cross the Gulshan area while I was going to school
yesterday.
Asif: What was the
reason for the traffic jam yesterday?
Sharif: Ongoing road
repairs. The road repairmen left their things haphazardly on the
road. As a result, the vehicles running on that road slowly got stuck. As
a result, a major traffic jam was created in that area. So, I had to
suffer a lot to reach school yesterday.
Asif: In fact, the only solution is to solve the traffic congestion problem.
Sharif: You are
right. But how to solve this problem?
Asif: Necessary measures
should be taken to solve the traffic jam problem. And, for this, public transport should be improved, traffic management systems should be implemented,
better roads should be built and transport alternatives should be invented.
Sharif: You have
mentioned absolutely necessary steps.
Asif: Listen more.
Awareness should be raised about responsible driving and traffic laws should be
strictly enforced. I think these can go a long way in decongesting
traffic.
Sharif: Thank you very
much for mentioning the necessary steps to solve the traffic jam.
Asif: Welcome.
