Arsenic pollution paragraph
Arsenic pollution is a serious problem in Bangladesh. Mainly, arsenic is a harmful substance that is found naturally in the underground water of Bangladesh. It is a silent killer and causes a great threat to the population. Actually, arsenic pollution has resulted in widespread health problems and increased mortality rates. The problem arose from the setting of millions of shallow tube wells in the 1990s to provide safe drinking water. At that time, the tube well water was highly arsenic-rich. However, arsenic pollution affects both rural and urban areas. About 20 million people are estimated to be at risk from arsenic. Long-term drinking arsenic polluted water can cause many serious diseases, including skin lesions, respiratory problems, and cancer. So, this problem should be solved soon. To solve the arsenic pollution issue, the Government of Bangladesh has taken the necessary steps to construct deep tube wells and provide a pipeline water supply. Along with the government, we all need to create consciousness about safe drinking water among people. Finally, we all should come forward together with the government to tackle arsenic pollution.
