Shilpi is a school girl. She reads in
class IX. She is 15 years old. As a girl, she is very honest, brilliant, kind
and hard-working. One day, while she was going to school, she found a money bag
on the way. She thought that a passer-by might lose it. She thought for a
while. Then she took the money bag in her hand and saw a lot of money in it.
Actually, Shilpi didn't see so much money together before. Seeing so much money,
she didn't feel greedy, rather she decided to return the money bag to its real
owner. She looked for the owner here and there but there was no man on the
road. However, Shilpi went to school, handed over the money bag to the
Headmaster and told him everything. On hearing the incident of the money bag,
the Headmaster became very pleased with Shilpi. Then he went to the nearby
police station with Shilpi. When they entered the police station, they saw an
old man sitting on a chair. However, the Headmaster handed over the money bag
to the officer-in-charge and told him everything. The old man sat by and heard
everything. Then he told the officer-in-charge that it was his money bag that
he had lost on the way. After hearing this, the officer in charge asked him how
much money was in the money bag. The old man gave the correct answer.
Finally, the officer-in-charge returned the money bag to him. The old man
was very happy to get back the money bag and wanted to give some money to
Shilpi as a reward. But Shilpi refused to take the money.
