Natural disasters are a common problem in Bangladesh. Every year natural disasters such as floods, cyclones, tidal bores, droughts, and earthquakes visit Bangladesh. They are caused by natural forces. However, these natural disasters have devastating effects on humans, animals, plants, crops, accommodation, and so on. They lead to serious damage and loss of life. In fact, due to natural calamities, many people die, many houses are damaged, people become homeless, crops of the fields are destroyed, the electricity supply is cut off for a long period, there is a shortage of drinking water everywhere and infectious diseases spread all around. So, various timely steps should be taken to prevent natural calamities. The government has more responsibility to deal with natural disasters. And, for this, before natural disasters, the government should provide people with reliable forecasts, take them to safe places, prepare emergency kits, establish evacuation plans, hoard food, and make emergency medical supplies ready. Above all, non-governmental and voluntary organizations should come forward along with the government to deal with natural disasters. Finally, when natural disasters are a serious problem they must be dealt with by taking proper steps.
