Liberation War paragraph
The Liberation War is a memorable event in the lives of Bengalis. In world history, the Liberation War refers specifically to the liberation war of Bangladesh. However, this Liberation War was fought between East and West Pakistan from 26 March to 16 December 1971. The main reason for this Liberation War was the political and economic oppression of East Pakistan by West Pakistan. Basically, during the Liberation War, the military forces of West Pakistan inflicted inhumane torture, including massacres and rapes, on the innocent people of East Pakistan. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was an undisputed leader of this Liberation War. Under his leadership, the people of East Pakistan formed a liberation force to fight against the West Pakistani army and fought for nine months. As a result, East Pakistan gained independence from West Pakistan on December 16, 1971, at the cost of the lives of three million martyrs and the rape of countless mothers and sisters in this bloody battle. In fact, in this Liberation War, a country named Bangladesh was born on the world map. And, the hegemony of West Pakistan over East Pakistan came to an end. This Liberation War also had a profound impact on the international community. Therefore, the Liberation War of Bangladesh will be unforgettable to the people of the world forever.
