Nowadays junk food is a popular and tempting food everywhere. It contains high amounts of calories, unhealthy fats, and sugars which are very harmful to the human body. Basically, junk food means processed food, fast food, sugary drinks, and desserts. Despite its immense popularity, junk food has extensive harmful effects on human health. Regular eating of junk food increases the risk of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular problems and declines in physical fitness. Moreover, the high sodium content of junk food causes high blood pressure. Apart from physical problems, junk food can also hurt mental health because it lacks essential nutrients. So, we should create awareness about the dangers of eating too much junk food and promote a healthy balanced diet consisting of fruits, vegetables, and fatless food. Finally, we should stop eating junk food for a healthy future generation.

Junk food is a type of processed food that is generally considered to be unhealthy. It has low nutritional value. However, many children and teenagers enjoy junk food frequently because it has a pungent taste. But there is no food value in junk food. It lacks vitamins and minerals though it is tempting. Actually, excessive use of chemicals makes it tasty. These chemicals are unhealthy. Usually, junk food contains animal fat or sugar. Foods like chips, burgers, crisps, cakes, biscuits, etc are high in animal fats. Sweets and fizzy drinks like Coca-Cola and lemonade are high in sugar. These foods are very harmful to our health. They damage our teeth and skin. Our kidney is also affected by these foods. It may create a higher risk of obesity and cardiovascular diseases. It can cause a heart attack. Besides, junk food can affect our brains like drugs. If anyone eats junk food frequently, he/she may lose zest for fruits, vegetables, salads, etc. However, junk food should be forbidden for those who are suffering from heart disease and diabetes. Finally, we must avoid junk food to maintain good health
