Facebook is a popular social media
platform in the world. Mark Zuckerberg, a student of the Computer Department of
America, first, invented Facebook in 2004. The first name of Facebook is
FaceMash which was also invented by Mark Zuckerberg in 2003. Now, Facebook is
one of the easiest and fastest communication systems in the world. The
number of Facebook users in the world in 2022 was 293 crore and the number of
daily Facebook users was 193 crore. The number of Facebook users in
Bangladesh was 4.8 crore of these. However, anyone can open a Facebook account
for free and then share photos, videos and news on Facebook and send messages
to near and dear ones who are connected to a Facebook friend list. At present,
video and audio calls, important features, have been added to
Facebook. Besides, Facebook pages and Facebook groups can be created on
Facebook. One can chat with each other through messenger, one of the features
of Facebook and know one's problem to another. Apart from this, what
is happening in any part of the world can be known in a moment through
Facebook. Despite all these benefits, Facebook has become a curse for our
young generations because they have made Facebook their best friend instead of
books. Nowadays, most of the young generations are wasting their valuable
time by watching Facebook instead of studying. Basically, they have become
addicted to Facebook like drugs. Therefore, to save the young generations
from the clutches of Facebook, strict laws and restrictions should be imposed
on the use of Facebook and we all should use Facebook with awareness.
