Once there was a little boy named Bayezid. He was very dutiful. One late night he was studying by the side of his sick mother. And his mother was sleeping. Suddenly his mother woke up and asked him for water. On hearing this, he ran to fetch water in the kitchen but unfortunately, there was no water in the pitcher of the kitchen. He searched for water in different places but could not find a single drop of water anywhere. At last, he decided to fetch water from a nearby spring. But the night was very deep and dark. All the people of the village were in deep sleep. Finding no water anywhere, he went to the spring with a pitcher and returned home with the water. Returning home, he poured water into the glass and went to his mother. But already his mother is asleep. He didn't want to wake his sick mother. So, he stood by the side of his sick mother's bed with a glass of water all night. His mother neither woke up at night nor did Bayezid wake up his mother. The night ended and the morning came. In the morning his mother woke up and found her son standing beside her bed with a glass of water in his hand. Then she was surprised to see her son standing with a glass of water beside her bed. Suddenly she remembered that she asked her son for water at night. After remembering this, she embraced her son with deep love and prayed to Allah for her son. Allah accepted the prayer of Bayezid's mother. Finally, Bayezid became a great devotee of Islam.

একদা বায়েজিদ নামে একটি ছোট ছেলে ছিল। সে খুব কর্তব্যপরায়ণ ছিল। একদিন গভীর রাতে সে তার অসুস্থ মায়ের পাশে বসে পড়াশোনা করছিল। আর তার মা ঘুমাচ্ছিলেন। হঠাৎ তার মা ঘুম থেকে উঠে তার কাছে পানি চাইলেন। একথা শুনে সে দৌড়ে রান্নাঘরে পানি আনতে গেল কিন্তু দুর্ভাগ্যবশত রান্নাঘরের কলসে পানি ছিল না। সে বিভিন্ন স্থানে পানির খোঁজ করেও কোথাও এক ফোঁটা পানি পেল না। অবশেষে, সে কাছাকাছি একটি ঝর্ণার থেকে পানি আনার সিদ্ধান্ত নিল। কিন্তু রাত ছিল অনেক গভীর এবং অন্ধকার। গ্রামের সবাই ঘুমিয়ে পড়েছিল। কোথাও পানি না পেয়ে সে কলস নিয়ে ঝর্ণায় গেল এবং পানি নিয়ে বাড়ি ফিরল। বাড়ি ফিরে গ্লাসে পানি ঢেলে মায়ের কাছে গেল। কিন্তু ইতিমধ্যে তার মা ঘুমিয়ে পড়েছে। সে তার অসুস্থ মাকে জাগাতে চায়নি। তাই সারারাত এক গ্লাস পানি নিয়ে অসুস্থ মায়ের বিছানার পাশে দাঁড়িয়ে রইল। তার মা রাতে জাগেনি কিংবা বায়েজিদও তার মাকে জাগায়নি। রাত শেষ হয়ে সকাল হল। সকালে তার মা ঘুম থেকে উঠে দেখেন তার ছেলে তার বিছানার পাশে পানির গ্লাস হাতে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে। অতপর ছেলেকে এক গ্লাস পানি নিয়ে তার বিছানার পাশে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকতে দেখে তিনি অবাক হয়ে গেলেন। হঠাৎ তার মনে পড়ল যে সে রাতে তার ছেলের কাছে পানি চেয়েছিল। এই কথা মনে পড়ার পর তিনি তার ছেলেকে গভীর ভালোবাসায় জড়িয়ে ধরেন এবং আল্লাহর কাছে তার ছেলের জন্য দোয়া করেন। আল্লাহ বায়েজিদের মায়ের দোয়া কবুল করলেন। অবশেষে বায়েজিদ ইসলামের একজন মহান ভক্ত হয়ে ওঠেন।
