Transformation of sentences এর মধ্যে Degree change খুব সহজ কিন্তু নিয়মিত প্র্যাকটিসের অভাবে ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা Degree change এর নিয়মগুলো মনে রাখতে পারে না। ফলে তারা কোন পরীক্ষায় Degree change এ ভালো করতে পারে না। তাই এই আর্টিকেলে ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের সুবিধার্থে Degree change এর কিছু সহজ নিয়ম তুলে ধরা হলো। ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা যদি আমার এই আর্টিকেলের সব নিয়মগুলো মুখস্ত করে এবং সেই অনুযায়ী প্রাকটিস করে তাহলে যেকোন প্রতিযোগিতামূলক পরীক্ষায় তারা Degree change এ ভালো করতে পারবে।

সংজ্ঞা
: Adjective/Adverb
এর বিভিন্ন
রূপকে Degree বলে।
যেমন:
i) Tall ➛ taller ➛ tallest.
ii) Beautiful ➛ More beautiful ➛ Most
beautiful.
Degree তিন
প্রকার । যথা:
i) Positive Degree.
ii) Comparative Degree.
iii) Superlative Degree.
❖❖Positive
degree: মূল Adjective কে Positive degree বলে ।
যেমন: Tall, beautiful.
❖❖Comparative
degree: মূল Adjective এর শেষে er অথবা পূর্বে more থাকলে তাকে Comparative degree বলে ।
যেমন: Taller, more beautiful.
❖❖Superlative
degree: মূল Adjective এর শেষে est অথবা পূর্বে most যোগ থাকলে তাকে Superlative degree বলে ।
যেমন: Tallest, most beautiful.
Degree পরিবর্তনের সহজ নিয়ম
1. এক Syllable বিশিষ্ট Positive degree এর শেষে er যোগ করে comparative এবং est যোগ করে Superlative করতে হয় ।

2. একের অধিক Syllable বিশিষ্ট Positive degree এর পূর্বে more যোগ করে comparative এবং most যোগ করে Superlative করতে হয়।

Superlative to comparative
Note - 1: The যুক্ত Superlative degree কে comparative degree করার নিয়ম:
i) Subject ও verb বসে।
ii) The বাদ যায়।
iii) Superlative degree টি comparative রূপ হয়।
iv) than any other/than all
other বসে।
v) বাকি অংশ
বসে।
N.B: Than any other এর পরে Noun টি Singular হয় এবং than all other এর পরে Noun টি Plural হয়। আর Superlative degree তে of all/of any থাকলে Comparative অথবা Positive করার সময় of all/of any বাদ যায়।

i) Imran is the wisest boy in

➛Imran is wiser than any other boy in the class.
ii) Sumon is the tallest
student in our college.
➛Sumon is taller than all other students in our
college.
iii) Sujon is the best of all
students.
➛Sujon is better than all other students.

of the যুক্ত Superlative
degree কে Comparative degree করার
নিয়ম:
i) Subject ও verb বসে।
ii) one of the বাদ যায়।
iii) Superlative degree টি Comparative রূপ হয়।
iv) than most other বসে।
v) বাকি অংশ বসে।

i) Faruq is one of the oldest
boys in our team.
➛Faruq is older than most other boys in our team.
ii) Saidul is one of the most
popular players.
➛Saidul is more popular than most other players.
iii) Monjurul is one of the
greatest persons.
➛Monjurul is greater than most other persons.

Note - 1: Than
any other/ than all other যুক্ত comparative degree কে Superlative করার
নিয়ম:
i) Subject ও verb বসে।
ii) the বসে।
iii) Comparative degree টি Superlative রূপ হয়।
iv) than any other/than all
other বাদ যায়।
v) Noun টি Singular হয়ে বাকি অংশ বসে।

➛Mr. Nazmul is the oldest teacher.
ii) Nipun is shorter than all
other students.

iii) Palas is more handsome
than any other boy.

Note - 2: Than most other যুক্ত Comparative degree কে Superlative Degree করার নিয়ম:
i) Subject ও verb বসে।
ii) one of the বসে।
iii) Comparative degree টি superlative রূপ হয়।
iv) than most other বাদ যায়।

Superlative to positive
Note - I: The যুক্ত Superlative degree কে Positive
degree করার নিয়ম:
i) No other বসে।
ii) Superlative degree এর
পরবর্তী অংশ বসে।
iii) Verb টি বসে।
iv) so/as বসে।
v) Superlative degree টি Positive রূপ হয়।
vi) as বসে।
vii) Subject বসে।
Superlative to positive degree examples
i) It was the highest tree on
the mountain.
➛No other tree on the mountain was as high as it.
ii) Popy is the prettiest
girl in the class.
➛No other girl in the class is as/so pretty as Popy.
iii) Samol is the most
intelligent boy in the Mass.
➛No other boy in the Mass is so/as intelligent as Samol.
Note - 2: One of the যুক্ত
Superlative degree কে Positive করার নিয়ম:
i) Very few বসে।
ii) Superlative degree এর
পরবর্তী অংশ বসে।
iii) Verb টি plural হয়ে বসে।
iv) so/as বসে।
v) Superlative degree টি Positive রূপ হয়।
vi) as বসে।
vii) Subject টি বসে।

➛Very few rivers in Bangladesh are as long as the
Padma.
ii) Hamlet is one of the
greatest dramas.
➛Very few dramas are as/so great as Hamlet.

iii) Positive degree টি Superlative রূপ হয়।

v) No other বাদ যায়
এবং verb এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বসে।

ii) No other lady is as
talkative as Papiya.

iii) No other girl is as
beautiful as Fauzia.

few দ্বারা শুরু Positive degree কে Superlative করার নিয়ম:
i) Subject বসে।
ii) Verb টি Singular হয়ে বসে।
iii) one of the বসে।
iv) Positive degree টি Superlative রূপ হয়।
v) so/as .........as অথবা as ..........as বাদ যায়।
vi) Very few বাদ যায়
এবং verb এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বসে।

➛Afroza is one of the fattest students.
ii) Very few metals are as
precious as gold.
➛Gold is one of the most precious metals.
iii) Very few teachers are as
popular as Mr. Rafiq.

Note - 1: Than
any other/than all other যুক্ত Comparative degree কে Positive করার নিয়ম:
i) No other বসে।
ii) than any other/ than all other বাদ যায় এবং বাকি অংশ বসে।
iii) verb বসে।
iv) so/ as বসে।
v) Comparative degree টি Positive রূপ হয়।
vi) as বসে।
vi) subject বসে।
N. B : No other এর পরে Noun টি Singular হয় আর very few এর পরে Noun টি Plural হয়।

i) Ratna is taller than any
other girl in the class.
➛No other girl in the class is so/as tall as Ratna.
ii) Nilufa is more
intelligent than all other students.
➛No other student is so/as intelligent as Nilufa.
iii) Gold is more valuable
than any other metal.

most other যুক্ত Comparative degree কে Positive degree করার নিয়ম :
i) Very few বসে।
ii) than most other বাদ যায়
এবং বাকি অৎশ বসে।
iii) Verb টি Plural হয়ে বসে।
iv) so/as বসে।
v) Comparative degree টি Positive রূপ হয়।
vi) as বসে।
vii) Subject বসে।

other দ্বারা শুরু Positive degree কে Comparative degree করার নিয়ম :
i) Subject ও verb বসে।
ii) Positive degree টি Comparative রূপ হয়।

iv) as/so.......as অথবা as........as বাদ যায়।
v) No other বাদ যায়
এবং verb এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বসে।

Positive degree কে Comparative degree করার নিয়ম :
i) Subject বসে।
ii) Verb টি Singular হয়ে বসে।
iii) Positive degree টি Comparative রূপ হয়।
iv) than most other বসে।
v) as / so…………as অথবা as..........as বাদ যায়।
vi) Very few বাদ যায়
এবং verb এর পূর্ব
পর্যন্ত বসে।

i) than বাদ যায়
এবং পরবর্তী subject টি বসে।
ii) Verb বসে।
iii) not থাকলে
বাদ যায় না থাকলে বসে।
iv) so/as বসে।
v) Comparative degree টি Positive রূপ হয়।
vi) as বসে।

i) প্রথম Subject ও verb বসে।
ii) no less/not less বাদ যায়।
iii) as/so বসে।
iv) Adjective টি বসে।

vi) than বাদ যায়
এবং অবশিষ্ট Subject টি বসে।

Positive to comparative degree rules
Note - 1: দুই এর মধ্যে তুলনা যুক্ত Positive degree কে Comparative degree করার নিয়ম:
i) দ্বিতীয় as বাদ যায়
এবং পরবর্তী Subject টি বসে।
ii) Verb বসে।
iii) not থাকলে
বাদ যায় না থাকলে বসে।
iv) Positive degree টি Comparative রূপ হয়।
v) than বসে।
vi) প্রথম so/as বাদ যায় এবং প্রথম Subject টি বসে।

➛Imran is more handsome than Prosenjit.
ii) Khaleq is as short as
